2000 jeep grand cherokee torque converter?

i think my torque converter is going bad.. i was driving home the other day and i stopped at a red light and when i hit the gas the whole truck shuddered pretty bad. it did it till i got home but not since then.. about 3 days ago i dont want to keep driving it and risk blowing the trans if its the torque converter.. i checked the tranny fluid its clean and smells fine
