If a machine exited that could copy the atomic structure of a brain, and the machine could re-create the brain?

Once you destroy the original brain, your consciousness is lost. It doesn't matter if there's an identical brain there, it's not like it could move into it. The new brain would act just like you of course but the real *you* would die.
