It seems like my grand cherokee is eating gas?

hi i have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4.7 Limited 4x2 and it seems like its just swallowing gas like this morning i had half a tank now its under a quarter and i only drove maybe 40-50 miles total today
