I think you should just try to block him out completely, I know it's easier said than done but I have been through a relationship like this and some of my friends have to. The best thing is to let it hurt for awhile and get out, don't be friends, don't talk if you can help it and try to stay as far away from where he goes as possible. It sounds like hes playing games with you...he can't have his cake and eat it too. You don't want to end up bitter because of him, if he really cared he wouldn't of said what he did to you.
