Where does the anime detour from the manga story plot in Shaman King?

I read from somewhere that the anime followed about, half of the manga and then went onto it's own path. So now I'm readin the manga and I honestly don't want to reread what I've basically watched, so can anyone tell me the exact chapter or an estimate? I plan on reading the alternate ending version too. ^^
