How to fix the 'Bad Image Error'?

Here is error message in full 'The application or DLL C:\PROGRA~1\Sophos\SOPHOS~1\detoured.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette' every program i run comes up with this message Bad Image. plz tell me how to fix this, its so annoying.
